 ABOUT CLIL or CLIL ART:

We are a new generation of teachers. We are CLIL teachers.

The meaning of this is simple and complex at the same time.

Search on line and You will find hundreds of definitions, explanations, comments of what CLIL means.

The explanation of “David Marsh on CLIL” will give you a clear insight of

the concept of CLIL:

Now search how to give a CLIL lesson.

You will find a lot of theory about planning a lesson, ideas and activities to do, but not practical step by step guide to actually giving a good working CLIL lesson.

The results you get in a class depend on a range of factors difficult to translate from theory to practice.

In this site you will find

practical CLIL lessons already tested in the classroom;

practical hints and suggestions to make your CLIL event a success.

Our lessons are focused on original materials, mostly video-audio materials, that, sometimes, you'll find only in part on this site due to copyright (but we will tell you where to obtain the source materials).

Your may also choose your own source material or content to use and tailor it to your needs following our examples.

What to consider in planning a CLIL lesson is to forget all about teaching in the traditional way:

forget frontal lesson,

forget reliance on your language skills,

forget passive glossary and list of terms,

forget long video clip without working on it,

before and after its vision.

(video clips cannot be longer than 3 m. ish)

and MAKE A BIG LEAP.
